Hello, My name is Tom Forgue and I am one of the DARE Officers for the St. Peters Police Department.

I would like to take a moment of your time to discuss a project that the D.A.R.E. Unit has under construction.

The project is the D.A.R.E. "Specialty" Car.

In January of 1998 this project became a reality when City donated a used police vehicle and has been converting it in to the D.A.R.E. vehicle.

The vehicle is being build at the St. Peters Public Works Building by the City of St. Peters Team of Mechanics.

Why have this type of vehicle?

I believe that it is important that you show students, as well as adults an alternative to drug use and by staying involved with a hobby they will not have time to turn to drugs or violent behavior.

The vehicle, when completed, will be making appearances at local businesses who have donated to the project as well as appearing at schools participating in the D.A.R.E. Program.
